How to host a diffuser making party and get your guests to discover their Signature Scent!

Welcome to the ultimate fragrance fiesta! If you've ever wanted to create a scent that truly embodies your unique personality, then you're in for a treat. Hosting a Signature Scent Party is not only a blast, but it's also a fantastic way to bond with your friends while exploring your olfactory creativity. STEP 1: Set the Scene

First things first, set the stage for your Signature Scent Party! Clear a space where guests can mingle, chat, and get creative. Whether it's your cozy living room or a charming outdoor patio, make sure it's comfortable and inviting. Don't forget to add some mood lighting and background music to enhance the ambiance. Print off the Signature Scent Event Printable Kit and set out all the items for the party.




STEP 2: The "Describe Me" Walk-Around

Grab a drink and start the party! Each guest will receive a "Describe Me" sheet and will write their name at the top. Then, they'll lay out their sheet and everyone will begin walking around and write one word that they think best describes each guest on their sheets. By the end of the walk-around, each guest will have a list of wonderful words that capture how their friends perceive them and are ready to use this list to make their Signature Scent. Use the "Scent Matching" guide from the printable kit to give your guests some great ideas for words to use!



Step 3: Scent Matching

Now it's time to get down to the main event – creating your signature scent! Each guest will take their list of descriptive words to the "Scent Matching" station. Here, they'll find a variety of scent options that correspond to the words on their list. From floral and fruity to woodsy and spicy, there's a scent for every personality. Using the words on their list and the matching scents, guests can mix and match fragrances until they find the perfect combination that reflects their unique essence.



Step 4: Mix and Pour

Once guests have selected their signature scent, it's time to bring it to life! Have guests go to their stations that have all the supplies they'll need, including fragrance oils, pouring tops, fragrance cups, stir sticks, oil diffusers, eye droppers, and beautifully designed instructions. With a little experimentation and creativity, guests will blend their chosen fragrances together to create their very own custom scent. With the included instructions from the printable kit, they'll know just what to do!



Step 5: Food, Drinks, and Fun

No party is complete without some delicious snacks and refreshing drinks! Consider serving up a spread of tasty treats and signature cocktails to keep everyone fueled and hydrated throughout the festivities. And don't forget to keep the good times rolling with games, music, and laughter!




Step 6: Take Home Memories

As the party winds down, each guest will take home their custom-blended signature scent and a special feeling. Whether it's their bespoke oil diffuser or a heartfelt memory of a fun-filled evening with friends, everyone will leave with a little piece of the party to cherish forever.

WHAT TO BUY FOR YOUR EVENT

Here are the links to my favorite items to use for a Signature Scent Event


1 - Number one because it's most important! The Signature Scent Event Printable Kit! This kit has the placemat, diffuser label, instructions, scent matching guide, and the describe me printable, all editable in Canva or ready to print.


2 - Paper for your printables - I am a lover of thick, beautiful paper. I only use Watercolor paper for my event printable! You will also need sticker paper for the diffuser labels!

3 - Fragrances! I buy all my fragrances from thecandlemakersstore.com


For pouring out fragrances, you'll want a more precise lid to do this... as you'll see in my photos, my fragrance oils have a black screw top (like school glue!). This helps keep spills to a minimum.

Having aesthetically pleasing labels is top of the list for me, I have created editable labels HERE that fit on the small, medium, and large bottles.


To organize your fragrances so they are easy to find for your guests, I've created Fragrance Category Labels which you can find HERE.


4 - Oil diffusers: For the small hanging oil diffusers that are seen in the photos, CLICK HERE

If you're looking for a tabletop diffuser, there are many choices available. I think THIS ONE is very cute and THESE are a classic and affordable look.


5 - You'll need a measuring + mixing cup for your fragrances so guests can combine their scents before pouring them into the diffusers. Keep in mind the capacity of your oil diffuser when buying these cups. You don't want a cup that is too small or too big!


6 - Eye droppers are used to transfer the oil from the measuring cups into the diffuser. If you've chosen larger diffusers, you may want a funnel rather than an eye dropper.


7 - Stir Sticks are great for mixing up all the scents!


8 - You can absolutely use pens or pencils you have at home but how cute are these gold pens! In the words of Elle Woods "it gives it a little something extra, don't you think?"
